Series 1 Menu:

8.45 – 9.00: Welcome by Shameela, introductions and opening meditation

9.00 – 9.40: Who am I – a workshop on how to develop your own authentic story: Who are you? Do you REALLY know who you are? If you remove all the labels you have attached to yourself such as your name, being a wife, husband, father, mother, doctor, teacher, do you actually know who you are? Join Shameela who will help you to understand your own true identity & purpose.

9.45 – 10.30: The Power of Sound – An Introduction to Sanskrit and Mantras: Sound- the first step into creation from non-creation. Join Sunila from Soham Yoga Centre to explore sound, the energy behind sound and the energy unleashed by sound. Get a taste of how to use your entire mouth in conjunction with your voice to say the authentic Sanskrit alphabet (Devanagari), gently leading into mantra chanting.

10.30 – 10.45: MORNING TEA

10.45 – 11.30: An introduction to Ayurveda – your pathway to mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing: Shameela will introduce you to the power of the wisdom of Ayurveda (the science of life) and the Vedic tradition and how the teachings can be incorporated into everyday life to live to your fullest potential with purpose and passion, providing a pathway to freedom!

11.35 – 12.15: Pranayama – breathing techniques: We enter life riding the inhale and exit on the exhale. Discover the treasures troves we hold within ourselves and how to use them through a few breath techniques with Sunila from Soham Yoga Centre. Learn to Be – Breathe – Blossom.

12.20 – 13.00: The true meaning of Yoga – its history, its purpose and the pathway of becoming a yoga practitioner: In some way, mystical sciences used to be present in every culture. But in the last 1500 years, they were largely lost in many parts of the world. Yogic culture moves seamlessly from invoking Shiva as the basis of creation to invoking Shiva as the first yogi. Shameela and Sunila will explore the history, the authenticity and the true essence of Yoga.

13.00 – 13.30: LUNCH BREAK

13.35 – 14.45: Japanese sounds with movements in the Japanese Garden: This nature workshop by Lana Toncar of Wild at Art Studio will include meditative reflective movement to listen to your breathing in nature followed by sketching the plant forms to then shade with colours to develop observation skills and focus on drawing skills in realism. No art experience is required – all friends and nature lovers are welcome! This workshop will be conducted outdoors so please wear the appropriate clothing. Alternative arrangements have been made in the event of bad weather.

15.00 – 16.00: Colour your mind with dance and art: Join Lana Toncar of Wild at Art Studio who will lead this workshop which will involve movement through music using sacred dance steps to visualize colour and the harmonies followed by gesture drawings of sacred movements to create blended abstract lines, shapes and textures to provide insight into your unique spiritual voice. No experience of dance, music or art is required – all friends are welcome!

16.05 – 16.15: Closing meditation, thank you mantra and sharing of gifts for participants.

Each of the seven ‘courses’ are $11 / session.

Book 3 ‘courses’ for $30, 5 ‘courses’ for $50 or all 7 ‘courses’ (which will be inclusive of a light Ayurvedic inspired vegetarian lunch) for $70.

*Morning tea will be provided to all attending the morning session (prior to lunch) and a light Ayurvedic inspired vegetarian lunch will only be for those booking in for the full seven ‘courses’*
