Fullness Mantra

Aum Poornamadaha, Poornamidam
Poornaatpoornamu Dachyate
Poornasya Poornamaadaaya
Poornamevava Shishyate

That ( the Supreme) Is Full
This ( the Being) Is Also Full
This Fullness Came From That Fullness
And Though This Fullness Came From That Fullness
That Fullness Remains Forever Full

What else is happening at Soham Yoga

I have been taking Soham yoga to the Funlife fitness gym for the last 6 months or so. It was interesting to watch myself wonder if I should teach any differently since the venue was a gym. Should I close the sessions with my customary 3 Aums and 3 Shanti’s. However I ran the first session just like I usually run a Yoga session, replete with internal awareness and using the breath as the main referance point, mantra chanting every now and again, my deep relaxation technique and closing as I usually do. The participants said they enjoyed the session and so I have continued to run the sessions in my natural style.
Class timings right now are Tuesday 8 pm to 9 pm and Saturday 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm

March 21, 2011 will see me start teaching at the Yoga Spirit Studio, Torrensville, Monday evening 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.

April 8, 2011 I have been asked to run a 2 hour workshop at the Yoga Spirit Studio 7 pm to 9 pm on ” The Power of Mantra”. This will be an introduction to Sanskrit pronunciation and the Devnagari script, the different phonetics of the above from the English language, pronunciation of common Mantras/ Shlokas and other Sanskrit terms that would be useful for a Yoga enthusiast ending with chanting together.

Aum Shri Gurubhyo Namaha Hari Aum

New Year and whats happening at Soham

Happy 2011 to all. The new year is such a mix isn’t it, of thoughts, resolutions, events, the feeling of a certain new-ness or a lack of it…….

At the Soham yoga centre, there are some new blossoming about to take place.

A Meditation class is in the pipeline where various styles will be used and discarded leading to the one single result – Greater Mindfulness. Mindfulness or awareness within oneself will then lead to different outcomes for different people but certainly will sharpen mental function, physical alacrity and a general sense of well being and contentment.

Another yoga class is about to begin so that, now there will be one Beginners class and one Advanced class giving the comfort of choice to the participants.

Also I will be teaching the Saturday morning Gentle Hathayoga class (10.30 am onwards) at Yoga Mukti, Lvl1/181, Angas Street , Adelaide .

That will be all for now…
